Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to reach out via hi@bodyfuelthrive.com for further questions.
What does a typical training session look like?
Depending on your training frequency, the workouts can vary from the total body, lower body, or upper body days. However, every session starts with a 5 minute (cardio) warm-up, then I will provide exercises to warm up the core. After you are warmed up, I have clients do resistance and weight training supersets and circuits.
How often do you recommend training?
Depending on your goals, it varies, but I recommended a minimum of 2 sessions a week.
Will you send me workouts to do on my own?
After a few weeks of training, I will send you workouts to do on your own when we aren’t training.
Do you recommend weights if I am training at home?
I highly recommend getting dumbbells and resistance. However, we can start with bodyweight exercises. After our first session, I will send you affordable weights to purchase.
Which private studios in NYC are you affiliated with?
I train clients at Independent Training Studio; there are five locations across Manhattan. But I am happy to come to a private training Studio near you.
Do you take health insurance?
I do not accept insurance directly. All appointments are considered fee-for-service, meaning you are expected to pay at the time of service. Upon receipt of payment, I will gladly provide you with a ticket to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Some, but not all, insurance companies do cover medical nutrition therapy. If you have out-of-network benefits as part of your health insurance, you may be able to be reimbursed a percentage of the fee for my services. To determine whether your insurance will reimburse you, you should contact them directly.
Will you make me track my calories?
No, I will not! But I will teach you to identify protein, carbohydrates, and fats to create balanced and nutritious meals to get you to your goals.
What is included in the meal plan?
The plan provides recommendations of what a week of food can look like, recipe suggestions, grocery list must-haves, and SMART goals we made during the initial assessment.
Can you help me order food when I am dining out?
Yes, I can! If you provide me with the restaurant's menu in advance, I will give you three different options to choose from.
What's included in the nutrition follow ups?
Follow ups include SMART goals tracking, additional recipe recommendations, review of food log/planner, and time to discuss any challenges you are currently facing with nutrition and ways to overcome them.
